The hallmark of Hillbrook Grange is family and our history lies within a happy family home that was donated back in 1951 by Florence Rowbotham, loving daughter of Sir Thomas Rowbotham and his wife Eliza.
As a memorial to her parents, Hillbrook Grange was a gift to ‘the Bramhall and Woodford Old People’s Welfare Committee to be used as a residential home for the elderly, ensuring the future well-being and happiness of others.’
Built in the 19th century, the Grange lies within seven acres of superb gardens and parkland. Since the 1950s the original Victorian house has been sympathetically refurbished and extended, most recently with the addition of a stunning new architect-designed wing. Initially catering for just fourteen local residents on its opening in 1953, Hillbrook is now able to provide accommodation for forty-one residents from the local area and beyond.
Once overseen by Bramhall & Woodford Old People’s Welfare Committee, Hillbrook was incorporated in 2010 as a private company and is currently administered by a board of nine local directors. Our dedicated board of directors commit their time and professional skills to ensure the provision of only the highest standard of residential care and facilities.
Thanks to our not-for-profit charitable status our board has been able to reinvest all surplus funds for the sole benefit of our residents. This investment has significantly raised the bar for the standard of residential care not only at Hillbrook but across the North West of England.
With over sixty years’ experience of delivering high quality care to the community, coupled with our fantastic new facilities, there is no place like our home. And we are committed to making “our home your home”.
